The Witch Doctor was among the first two classes of
Diablo III to be made public and it is the only one that uses Mana. The Witch Doctor is a fighter from the tribe of the five hills found in the Tenganze jungles that practices dark arts. He has skills which include beckoning the undead and directing horror to his victims using powders and elixirs.
Vital characteristics of the Witch Doctor are such as hexes, pets, battlefield control, and elemental attacks. These are used to weaken, kill, or make the enemy flee away from disrupting the activities of that particular area.
The Witch Doctor has 22 skills which he can use in any given time, but he can only have 6 active skills at a time. The active skills are: poison dart level1, grasp of the dead level2, corpse spiders level3, summon zombie dogs level4, fire bats level5, horrify level8, soul harvest level9, plague of toads level11, haunt level12, sacrifice level13, zombie charger level14, spirit walk level16, spirit barrage level17, gargantuan level19, firebomb level21, locust swarm level21, acid cloud level22, hex level22, mass confusion level22, big bad voodoo level25, wall of zombies level28, and fetish army level30.
The passive skills include: circle of life level10, jungle fortitude level10, spiritual attunement level13, gruesome feast level16, bad medicine level20, blood ritual level20, zombie handler level24, pierce the veil level27, fetish sycophants level30, spirit vessel level30, rush of essence level36, vision quest level 40, fierce loyalty level45, grave injustice level50, and tribal rites level55.
One can play witch doctor in any play style of choice: summon the zombie dogs, toads or fire bats, minions, melee combat, ranged combat, spell casting, or even use your witch doctor with his equipment and skills.
If you loved Necromancer in Diablo II, you should definitely try the Witch doctor and enjoy summoning pets.
