When I started playing Runes of Magic over a year ago, I was in the same boat as everyone else. I struggled to get enough Gold to pay for leveling, armor, recipes, even transporting through Snoop. And don't even talk to me about the costs of upgrading gear!
I'll never forget the hours I spent running around Silverspring, Aslan Valley and Sascilia Steppes because I couldn't afford a horse, not even a rental. Sound familiar?
As much as I loved playing RoM, I have to admit I resented the huge amount of Gold it seemed to require to buy items to simply get by in the game. I joined RoM because it was free-to-play and was honestly surprised at how much things cost.
As I slowly reached higher and higher levels, I fell further behind my peers who paid real cash to buy diamonds that enabled them to tier their weapons, stat their armor and buy potions and food to be successful.
Being a person who can't stand being second place, I decided that I had to find a quicker and easier way to get Gold — or I would have to resign myself to being stuck at level 50 forever.
