For as long as I can remember I've wanted to be a musician.
But the dream felt impossible so I rarely verbalized it aloud. Everything I did in my professional life couldn't hold a candle to my musical successes no matter how small they be. That was where my heart was and inevitably there was always some block to companies and partners I was working with... so I bounced from job from job and opportunity to opportunity not gaining any real footing.
This was frustrating.
Everyone saw that I had the personality, talent, organization, leadership and technical skills for success in any given field; but no employer or online product had my heart and where my true intentions laid.
Talk about your roadblocks along the way.
Trials are part of every success story; Edison made 10,000 attempts to invent the light bulb. Dude failed 9.999 times! In my journey it feels like I've made that many attempts but in reality that has not been the case. But I can empathize with the maddening process of trying to reach an impossible dream.
The way I see it, because succeeding in music by learning the internet has been such a wonderful experience, there had to be total hell along the way in getting here. I'm not a household name or famous by any means, but that was never my intention for pursuing music anyway. I get to interact and have my music enjoyed by thousands of new listeners DAILY from almost every country in the world. This rules.
If you have a passion for something...DO NOT GIVE IT UP!!!
There is a reason that your passion gets you excited, doesn't let you sleep, and also triggers you getting the most depressed. I've found this passion to be a wonderful gift and was given to me by the same source that helped me achieve my dream.
