PHP is required for the new version.
In October 2008 the path to Youtube and Dailymotion videos has been changed.
Here is the update along with other functions: text playlist and a new random function.
The video gallery can be edited from XML .
To play YouTube or Dailymotion videos just add the HTTP link in the path attribute; you can leave the thumbnail attribute blank because the player will extract the thumbnail that it is used by YouTube or Dailymotion.
If you add a FLV to the gallery you mass set a link to the thumbnail to else the videos will not load.
You can set from the XML what video should be played first or the autoplay.
A title or a description of the movie can also be set from XML.
For more information on how to edit the XML file read the instruction file.
You can use the gallery as a simple player too. Just add in the XML only one video.
The video gallery is completely resizable.
Functions of the Video Gallery Player:
- after the meta of a video is loaded (the player extract meta that comes with the video you want to play) the total time and current time of the video is shown and a press downloading bar will start;
- the player has a stop button that stops the video and moves it at the beginning;
- the player has a play button that can be used to start a video or to resume a video play;
- the player has a pause button that can stop a video at the time played;
- the player has a volume button that sets the volume at its maximum value;
- the player has a mute button that sets the volume at 0;
- each time when you roll over the mute or volume buttons a volume bar will apear; you can drag the button or press on the volume bar to change the volume;
- the player has a Full Screen button that makes the player full screen;
- the player has a Normal Screen button that makes the player size the original one;
- the player has a Actual Video Size button that displays the video in its actual size;
- the player has a Default.
